- Class Points
Class points are earned for good behavior by the entire class. Classes can earn or lose points depending on how well they follow directions and the class rules. At the end of the semester, whichever class has the most points among their grade level will win a class reward.

- Skills/Assignments = 50% of grade
This grade includes art projects, exercises, and “warm ups” done in the student’s sketchbook.
It is out of 100. - Participation/Conduct = 50% of grade
This is a measure of the student’s behavior and attendance.
For 4th – 5th grade students, 20 points is deducted from this daily grade if they have an unexcused tardy to class.
Tally marks are used on a chart to determine their grade based upon behavior:
- Kindergarten & 1st grade students
Students are graded using a letter system:
ES: Exceeeds standards
MS: Meeting standards
AS: Approaching standards
NS: Needs improvement meeting standards - Table Points
K, 1, 2 students earn points for their individual table for following directions and good behavior. The table with the most points at the end of the day earns a sticker.
